Just when I thought Barack Obama had finally realized he needs to start talking a more about the issues, he has apparently opted to "sharpen [his] criticism."
As he did last weekend, Senator Obama continues to question Senator Clinton’s foreign policy experience. "What exactly is this foreign policy experience?" Obama asked mockingly (according to the AP). "Was she negotiating treaties? Was she handling crises? The answer is no."
Senator Clinton responded in an interview by listing a number of events in which she has played a role in including peace talks in Northern Ireland, the Kosovo refugee crisis and standing up for women’s rights in China. She also cited her work on the Senate Armed Services Committee. (information also provided in AP story)
And what was the "sharpen criticism" response from Senator Obama? His campaign held a conference call and distributed a memo to question why Clinton won’t release her tax returns.
