Forced to Respond

I really thought it best to stay out of the public debate regarding Eliot Spitzer because in a sense I really didn’t think there was much I could add to the colossal fall from grace for New York’s mighty Governor.

But then I got these two emails…

"What no words of wisdom regarding a Democrat in hot water?" Kelly (from Ireland)

"I guess because a Democrat has finally shown his true colors you have nothing to say, right CJ?" Markus (from NY)

Since I have been "called out" let me say it loud and clear for all to hear starting first with Kelly and Markus.

I am a Democratic Blogger you dumbasses!  Of course I don’t have much to say about this other than Spitzer is an ass who is finally getting what’s coming to him.  At least this time he doesn’t have to pay to get $%#@!! because he did it to himself. Too bad he never learned how to do it to himself long ago.  It may have save him a few bucks and a wee bit of embarrassment.

Does that make me a hypocrite?  No, and I’ll tell you why.

Never once on my Blog have I said Democrats are perfect or above doing anything stupid.  There is far too much history to prove otherwise. However, since Republicans like to portray themselves as the "moral authority", it’s wonderful when they are shown to be the true morons they are when they get caught looking for sex in public restrooms or sending text messages to Congressional Pages (Interns).

Sadly, the Spitzer issue only goes to show why people don’t believe in politics or go to the polls to vote.  Because when the people finally give in and believe in someone, they are let down.  Spitzer’s historic landslide win just over a year ago will now be a footnote in what will be a sad end to a once bright political future.  But fear not because as we’ve seen in the past…sooner or later after the dust has settled and cleared…and after he has written a book about what will probably be referred to as his ‘sickness’ he’ll be back giving commentary on politics and/or law matters. 

You may laugh when you read that, but really if Bernie Kerik, Dick Morris, Oliver North and others like them can get regular gigs (granted on the Fox News network) why then won’t there be a place for Eliot "John" Spitzer?  CJ
