An Open Letter to Barack and John

Gentlemen (and I use that term loosely),

While the media and it’s pundits are hoping that the pissing contest, known on the calendar as the 2008 Presidential election, you two have engaged in continues, I’d like to point out a few things.

1. Almost three years later, people are still suffering in New Orleans — New York Times. Clearly the images of thousands of American citizens screaming for help on TV (by the way, to this day, no one has ever been able to explain how the news media was able to get to the people before any Government aid could) has left the minds of those who not only claim they give a damn, but could actually do something about it. As a side note, the Republicans ‘staged’ a coup in the House of Representatives last week claiming that it’s terrible that Congress has gone on vacation with the housing market still in peril, was touching. My only question is what’s the difference between this vacation and the others that have come over the past three years while people who used to own their own homes were forced to live in trailers or worse on the streets of New Orleans?

2. Unemployment is at it’s highest in 4 years as payrolls dropped by 51,000 last month.  Enough said.

3. Gas prices continue to skyrocket, while companies like Exxon Mobile and  Chevron post record profits and no one dares to question them why a family that relies on a mini-van to transport it’s children to school and other activities is forced to pay over $4.50 a gallon.

4. Our kids are still dying in two wars…neither of which see to have a plan in place as to how we turn the tables to win them.

This list could go on and on, but I’m getting depressed just writing about all the problems our country is facing while you two drop trou and piss all over each other.

You’ve both become hypocrites who on more than one occasion have denounced the type of politics you are both currently practicing.  Though I have to say in your case John, you are the worst.  Claiming Barack is playing the race card while you and your cronies use the word ‘elite’ to get across your message.  Just call a spade a spade or in this case an Uncle Tom.  We all know that’s what you mean anyway.  And that Britney and Paris ad.  Someone certainly has forgotten what it was like to be accused of being gay and for adopting a black baby back in the days of the South Carolina primaries.

You don’t get a pass here either Barack.  Instead of talking the high road, which you seem to do at every other turn, you engage right back in the mudsling.  With all the problems facing this country, this should be the Democrats years to pull another Goldwater thumping.  But instead of asking the simple question – are you better off today than you were 8 years ago when these buffoon stole the White House — you continue to play into their hands.  The only way they win this election is by taking you off message/issues. 

Get it together  boys, and get it together fast.  This country is in serious trouble and is in need a leader who is going to have serious answers.  And right now… you’re nothing more that two idiots on the playground who seem more interested in having a national ‘your mama’ contest.
