Some three weeks ago, the McCain "Attack Talk Express" linked Barack Obama to hot messes Britney Spears and Paris Hilton and thought it was the most clever thing besides sliced bread.
This weekend as Madonna unveiled her new Sticky & Sweet tour in Cardiff, Wales, the always outspoken Material Girl linked John McCain with the likes of Hitler, Mugabe, Mike Huckabee and images of destruction and global warming during a video montage. The video also included images of Al Gore and Obama. (You can see the video montage below)
The response from the McCain camp, "The comparisons are outrageous, unacceptable and crudely divisive all at the same time." Which of course means in Republican speak…we can say and do anything, but if people call us on it or respond in kind, we take offense.
So much for, er, a calling a spade a spade.
