A whole new level of fear-mongering

According to a report by the Assosicated Press, The Republican National Party has mailed one of its infamous fundraising letters to its members that suggests Democrats may try to deny medical treatment to Repiublicans as part of the health care overhaul.  [See the entire story below]

This shouldn't come to a surprise.  Fear-mongering is the staple trait of the Republican Party, but this raises the bar to a whole new level. Not only is this shameless, but it's a sad statement as to the desperation of a party — so out of touch with America.  Sure, their mouth pieces like to spout that it's the Democrats who are out of touch with America, and they base this on the crowds that are storming health care town hall meetings across the country filled with the lies and mountains of mis-information that THEY are feeding them.

Democrats, the President included, have made a mess out health care reform. And if the death of Senator Kennedy isn't enough to get their asses in gear, then this bit of information had damn well better be!

WASHINGTON – The Republican national party has mailed a fundraising appeal suggesting Democrats might use an overhaul of the health care system to deny medical treatment to Republicans.

A questionnaire accompanying the appeal says the government might check voting registration records. It says that is "prompting fears that GOP voters might be discriminated against for medical treatment in a Democrat-imposed health care rationing system."

Republican spokeswoman Katie Wright says the question was "inartfully worded." But she says people should worry, because government officials would have access to personal financial and medical data.

Jon Vogel, executive director of the Democratic House campaign organization, called the GOP letter "shameless fear-mongering."
