Let me get this straight…all summer long Republican's held Town Hall meeting after Town Hall meeting proclaiming that the Democrats want to create death panels including Senator Charles Grassley who at once point said, "We should not have a government program that determines if you're going to pull the plug on grandma."
And now they want a Democrat who said during a speech on the House floor that Repoublicans want Americans to "die quickly" if they get sickto be reprimanded in the same fashion as Rep. Jow Wilson who so famously yell out "You Lie" during President Obama's health care speech before Congress.
I'm not really sure how the two go together, but everytime I start to make sense of it, a famous picture of Newt Gingrich comes to mind…
Joe Wilson made an ass out of himself, his party and broke House rules by yelling out "You Lie" during the President's address. His punishment was appropriate given the fact that he was given multiple chances to appologize before he was reprimanded.
This call for Rep. Alan Grayson to be reprimanded for his speech is as babyish as Newt's tantrum which landed him on the front cover of the Daily News. Not to mention outright ridiculous.
But so is the Republican Party.
