CJ's 2009 Lists – Top 10 Songs of 2009 — #8
You know the drill…over the next 9 days (I'll be skipping Christmas Day), I'm posting my top 10 songs of 2009.
As a reminder — the criteria for my selections are basted on three simple facts…
1. How many months did a song make it to my monthly iPhone playlist;
2. How many plays does it have in my iTunes;
3. The song must have been released no later than October of the previous year.
And so he list continues…
Simply put, Lily Allen's music makes "my life so f**king fantastic!" Now if you a fan of hers, then you will know that's a line from my number 8 song of the year.
This song is a testament to how many songs I truly loved this year and how hard it was to put my list together. Released in January, it has appeared on all of my monthly iPhone playlists since February, and yet it's only at number 8. But don't fool yourself, I love and rock out to this song just about everyday on my way to work.
Now because I listen to dance music (BPM and/or Pride Radio) while I slave away 5-days a week, it's safe to say that I will hear the remix of a song before I hear the original version, and sometimes I end up liking the remix better than the original version of the song.
That happens to be the case with this song. Don't get me wrong, the album version is pretty good – http://bit.ly/RsWNn but I just happen to love "The Stonebridge Radio Edit."
