Last night I went to bed, feeling lousy for the 2nd straight day in a row, dreading having to go back to work after an amazing 4 great days with friends.
Then I awoke to the news about the earthquake in New Zealand. Boy…does that put my little cold into perspective.
While the news is grim, there is hope that the loss of life will be minimal, but really try saying that to someone who lost a loved one.
We are reminded daily that all life is precious, but sadly it takes a large event such as this for the reminder to sink in — that in the blink of an eye everything can change. Which is why we should all be grateful for what we have and for the people we have in our lives. And if by chance you are unhappy, then what better time to make a change to find some happiness in your life.
To my friends @skittlesboy, @kent_teague, @TyeTyeee, and to @Cameron_Betts who has been remarkable in his eyewitness account of the earthquake media interviews (I was lucky to hear him interviewed on the Today show) I am relieved that you and yours are all safe and wish a better tomorrow for all of you and for the rest of your country.
