Murdoch….who?

I admit freely that I am a news junkie or nerd…however you see fit to phrase it.

That said, while the Murdoch story out of London has me grinning from ear to ear because let’s face it…this couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy, I’m just not buying that it’s the sensational story that most claim it to be.

Yes, what they are “alleged” to have done is beyond reprehensible, but let’s face the fact..when they were bugging the Royals and celebrities to get their news stories, no one really seemed to care. I get it, this goes beyond bugging a famous famous person which is why it matters to so many people now, but can we at least agree that wrong is wrong?

Oh and politicians aligned and in bed with newspapers/reporters…as Blanche Devereaux once famously said, “Nothing new here, back to you…”

As I said to a friend the other day, the combination of terrible/shoddy journalism combined with the public’s total lack of interest in most things unless it’s sensational or directly effects them, continues to be a blight on humanity.

So while the world will be glued to the testimony Murdoch and son of Satan, I will rely on the news recaps (hence the news junkie/nerd quality). But seeing as I have not given a dime to the Murdoch empire, that I know of ever, I refuse to give them much of my time…even if it’s for their long over due public flogging.

[Sadly, I have been reminded that Satan owns 20th Century Fox so it appears I have given his empire my share of dimes. Sigh…so be it. once can only protest so much when matched up against the evil empire. So score one for them.]
