He may play a cold vulcan, but Zachary Quinto is nothing like Mr. Spock.
As you probably already know, Quinto recently came out in a New York Magazine profile. In the article he talks about the death of Jamey Rodemeyer, the 14-year old Buffalo teenager who killed himself last month after being bullied in school and online, and how his death made him change his stance on not feeding “the rumor mill with either substantiation or dismissal” over constant rumors of his sexuality.
If you haven’t read the article, please do so.
And if you haven’t seen his ‘It Gets Better Video’ please take a moment to view it below. It’s very emotional…very powerful.
I have never been a fan of celebrity ‘Coming Out’ stories, but this one serves a purpose.
If you haven’t already, please take a moment to sign our petition asking First Lady Michelle Obama to lead the fight against bullying. (If you haven’t read the letter that was sent to Mrs. Obama, you can read it here – Dear Mrs. Obama)
Many of you have promised to, so please do so…today!
