I love music…and I love doing this countdown. The interaction with friends and readers over my favorite songs of the year get better and better each year. I continued to be humbled by the fact that people actually take the time to read my Blog and comment on my selections. So thank you for reading and for those who have taken the time to message me, I thank you as well.

And a recap of the criteria I use to select the songs on my countdown…
1. All songs must have been released no later than September of the previous year;
2. The number of combined plays in my all of my iTunes;
3. The number of months a song appeared on my monthly iPhone playlist.
And now…back to the countdown.
Simply put, this is the song that got me going most mornings this year. Back in the day, when my commute to work from 2-hours –one-way– I would put this song on just as my bus hit the express bus lane to the Lincoln Tunnel, and simply start jamming. This of course after sleeping most of the ride up to that point.
It never failed me, and it always lead to a mini dance party (in my head of course) one that pumped me up just enough so that by the end of my commute, I was at least smiling.
This song is also a testament to the talents of Ms. Kelly Rowland, who continues to shine in these brilliant collaborations. In 2009 and 2010 her amazing collaborations with David Guetta brought us When Love Takes Over and Commander. This year she teamed up with Italian DJ Alex Gaudino…and their fantastic collaboration is song #8 on the countdown…What a Feeling.
