CJ’s iPhone Playlist – February 2012

Now, on more than one occasion I have started this posting by saying, “this month’s playlist is all over the place.” Yeah…you can toss all of those aside with this one!

We begin with an eclectic selection of fantastic remixes I’ve found over the past month that have transformed several songs that I’m currently “in love” with including Benny Benassi’s remix of Florence and the Machine’s Shake it Out, the Beat Dust house mix of Madonna’s Masterpiece, the Clinton Sparks remix of Lady Gaga’s Bloody Mary and a fantastic mashup Moves Like Lady Jagger – Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera vs. Modjo.

Newcomers to the playlist this month include Adele’s Set Fire To The Rain, Jessie J’s Domino and Avicii’s Levels. There is a new 80’s block of songs as well as a ‘soulful’ block featuring SoulIISoul, Luther Vandross and the incomparable Macy Gray. Finally, as part of the “encore,” two Rock N Roll legends Paul McCartney and Billy Joel join main stays Depeche Mode and Erasure.
