So I’ve either gone a little bit crazy (which would explain A LOT), or I’ve reverted back to the reason I started my monthly playlist in the first place – to create a random mix of music (old and new) that reflects all of my music loves. In looking back over the past year, my lists have become very stale and somewhat predictable. So when I started creating it last night, I was determined to mix it up a bit. And well, I think I have.
We have number of new songs and first timers to the list including deadmau5, The Wanted, Bingo Players, Enya, Jennifer Carbonell, Green Day, and Sheryl Crow (with oldies but goodies) and brace yourselves — Taylor Swift. I’m as surprised as anyone, but I’m slowly but surely becoming a fan (thanks in large part to a certain someone). New songs this month include the aforementioned Ms. Swift’s Safe & Sound (from The Hunger Games soundtrack), Madonna’s Girl Gone Wild, The Wanted’s Glad You Came and deadmau5’s Maths.
The list runs the genre gauntlet – dance, country, rock, Broadway and disco and is certainly an interesting listen.
