CJ’s iPhone Playlist – April 2013

So I’ll be honest, I was a bit overwhelmed by the response to my Top 40 of all time. The comments were hysterical and somewhat surprising, and for that, I thank you!!

However, as I suspected, with the comments came a renewed push for me to compile a listing of my all-time favorite songs, because obviously 40 wasn’t enough. I’m happy to report, I have started the project. Actually, I’m about 75-80% complete with the project. It’s a lot harder than I imagined, and the memories it’s bringing up are mind boggling! I have had dreams about people I haven’t thought about in years, and all I can say about that is ahhhhhhhh….the power of music. The last part of the project is figuring out what kind of order to put the songs in. There’s no way I can rank them. I think I’ve come up with a plan, and will begin executing it soon. I’ve set June as the target for me to complete the project, so be on the lookout for updates.

As for this month…I’m a bit all over the place. Oldies, not so newbies, alternative, a Bobby Brown shout-out to CR…it’s enough to make a normal person’s head spin. Thankfully I’m far from normal, so I’m quite enjoying it.

New to the list this month is my favorite song from “JT’s” The 20/20 Experience – “Mirrors.” Other non-newbies include JLo’s “Let’s Get Loud,” STP’s “Interstate Love Song,” a hot/subtle remix of Blur’s “Girls and Boys,” and a song I heard from a movie on Netflix recently that I loved instantly. It’s from a group…at least I think they’re a group called Little Auk, and the song is called “Wooly Clouds.”
