New Jersey’s highest court has denied the bid by Gov. Chris Christie’s administration to delay same-sex marriages pending an appeal of an earlier ruling, paving the way for gay couples to wed in the Garden State starting on Monday.
Several New Jersey towns were already accepting applications for marriage licenses in anticipation of the ruling.
