It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone. Time sure does fly by when you’re…
Anyway, I’ve switched things up this year. Instead of having a top 10 that is really a top whatever I want it to be, I forced myself to pick my absolute top 20 songs of the year. Today, I will reveal the bottom 20, and starting tomorrow, I will count down my top 10 songs of 2013…with a bit of a twist of course.
The list was somewhat difficult to compile. There was some good music this year from all genres. I particularly liked the “retro” trend that cropped up in certain songs like Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” and of course Robin Thicke’s breakout [and over played] smash “Blurred Lines.” And then of course there was Miley and her tongue and her twerking. Ahhh, kids.
2013 also marked the return of some big names including P!nk, Justin Timberlake and Celine Dion and saw the rise of Lorde, Imagine Dragons and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Lots and lots of good music…yes indeed.
Songs 20 – 11 are all songs that I’ve loved throughout the year. Some were released last year, (a reminder, the criteria for a song is that it has to have been released by September 1 of the previous year, appear on the monthly playlist and garner the necessary amount of plays), while others only recently appeared on the monthly play list. I think songs 20-11 will be just as strong as my top 10 songs of the year. That’s how much I love all 20 songs.

Thanks as always for reading and following. I look forward to your comments, likes and dislikes!
So, without further adieu, here are songs 20 – 11 for 2013.
See you tomorrow with song #10!
