Top Songs of 2013 – #10

The countdown begins….

I decided to do things a wee bit different this year with my to 10 songs….I actually picked 10 songs!

But, because I like to be different, I’m teaming up the songs with another song from the artist that I like. In some cases, the second song will be from this year, as some of the artists are new to the music world.

As a reminder before we get started, the criteria for my picks are as follows….

1. Each song must be have been released by September 1, 2012

2. Each song has to have appeared on my monthly playlist this year

3. Tie-breakers are based on the number of plays as detailed in iTunes

And now….song number 10…

I found my way back to my music roots this year (with the help of my friend Eileen), and the song at number 10 was one of my best finds.

It’s by an indie band from Ireland that has a sound that is simply mesmerizing. If you’re a true fan od indie music, then you already know I’m talking about the incredible band Of Monsters and Men. 

The song that comes in at number 10, is from the bands debut (studio) album “My Head is an Animal.” Here is Monster Sound.

And as a bonus, this is my second favorite song from the same album, Little Talks
