CJ’s iPhone Playlist – March 2014

Thirty days have September, April, June and November.

All the rest have 31…which brings us to the 31 songs month of March!

There is only one “true” newbie on the playlist this month — Pharrell’s Oscar nominated song, Happy. The other newbies are only “new” to the list and therefore will not be contenders for the year-end countdown, as they were all released prior to September 1 of last year.They’re are some good ones though — Bastille’s Pompeii and  John Newman’s Love Me Again. 

Here’s a bit of trivia for you…three of the songs on the playlist this month currently appear in US television commercials. Can you figure out the three songs?  We also have a song that appeared in one of the Sex and the City movies, a few R&B flashbacks from Toni Braxton, Terrance Trent D’Arby and the Sugarbabes, a Depeche Mode block, a fantastic block of remixes featuring two from the amazing Billy Waters along with a few other goodies and surprises sprinkled throughout.

This month’s spotlight song, is on of the songs featured in the remix block. It’s by the aforementioned Billy Waters, and I honestly can’t get enough of it!
