Happy Pride!!! 

It’s that magical time of year — when Pride festivals will be held across the country and globe in support of individuals simply being who they were born to be.

We’ve come a long way in just the past few years, and while we still have a long way to go — to ensuring that everyone is allowed to live his or her life without fear of being harmed or discriminated against because of their sexual orientation — we must remain vigilant and work towards that ultimate goal!

Now, I’ve always believed that music is the glue that binds us all together. In fact, I know it does. So…for the first time in “forever” as Andrew J. recently put in in a message, here is my playlist for the month of June. In fact, it’s going to be my Pride list for the summer of 2016! (Be sure to keep checking out the list throughout the summer. It’s very likely the list will continue to grow from it’s current 50 songs!)

Enjoy the music, enjoy the pride festivals, enjoy being who you are but also — remember the people who made it possible for you to enjoy the freedoms you have. A great many people were denied the right to be open about who they were. And a great many people died for the right to be open about who they were.

Be sure to think of them and thank them while you celebrate. It’s a debt we’ll never be able to repay.
