Happy Pride 2017

I know it’s been like a minute since I last posted a playlist, so I thought I’d wait for a special occasion.

Helloooo special occasion!! Happy Pride season!!!

I’ll cut right to the chase — this playlist is REAL GAY, yo! But it’s got a little bit of somethin‘ somethin‘ for everyone — from club remixes and classics to poignant songs that I hope will remind listeners to remember that Pride is more than a circuit party/reason to be a hot ass mess.

The progress towards equality for all continues to make its way across the globe, but we still have a long way to go. Let’s focus on making Pride celebrations everywhere, a rallying cry for those in places, such as Chechnya, where simply being gay is a “crime.” 

I’m doing my part by dedicating what would amount to a round of drinks in NYC to the Human Rights Campaign, which is as darkknight316committed to helping the LGBTQ community in Chechnya as they are helping the community here at home. Please join me in helping them in their fight! DONATE HERE
