History will remember this so-called “Conservative majority” on the Supreme Court not as a legitimate majority of legal minds, but as a politically compromised bloc—feckless in their fidelity to the Constitution, and beholden to a narrow, reactionary agenda. In truth, they are a majority in name only.
The dissents issued by Justices Sotomayor and Jackson, and joined by Justice Kagan, are not just legally sound—they are morally righteous and constitutionally exact. They speak not only to the law, but to the conscience of a nation. These dissents will stand the test of time, long after this corrupted majority has faded into disgrace.
“I write separately to emphasize a key conceptual point: The Court’s decision to permit the Executive to violate the Constitution with respect to anyone who has not yet sued is an existential threat to the rule of law.” – Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson
“The gamesmanship in this request is apparent and the Government makes no attempt to hide it. Yet, shamefully, this Court plays along… In its rush to do so, the Court disregards basic principles of equity as well as the long history of injunctive relief granted to nonparties.” – Justice Sonia Sotomayor
These words are not mere dissents—they are warnings. They expose the Court’s complicity in allowing the Trump administration to sidestep the Constitution and weaponize policy against people whose citizenship rights it refuses to respect.
Let the names Roberts, Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett be forever marked by the shame and constitutional rot they have enabled. May the stench of their betrayal follow them to their graves—and beyond.
