settle

To recap, song #10 – “Settle Down” – No Doubt

In all the years I’ve been doing my countdown, never before have I received as much feedback from the number 10 song on the countdown. And the majority of it was positive. Let’s hope that trend continues!

On with the countdown.

Number 9

All I can say when it comes to song number 9, blame my friends George and Ryan, lol.

This song joined a very short list of songs that I loved from the moment I first heard it. Let’s just say, if I ever wrote a song about a specific former love, it would sound a hell of a lot like this song…which is why I identified with it right away.

This singer/songwriter has grown quite a reputation for writing songs about past loves, and while I never gave her much attention in the past, over 1,208,000 people and I downloaded her new album ‘Red’ the first week she released it back in October. HELLO.

I cannot tell a lie…the love George and Ryan have for this singer has definitely been passed on to me. And while I can’t say I love her with the same intensity, I am definitely in strong like!

By the way, this song is one of several on the countdown this year that wasn’t released commercially. It meets the criteria however, because it’s on an album that does.

Song number 9 is Taylor Swift’s (alleged song about her super hunk ex Jake “I wish I knew how to quit you” Gyllenhaal) – “All Too Well.”
