To say the artist who has three songs at number 8 on the countdown is a workhorse, is simply an understatement!

Unlike most artists who put out albums every few years, she has put out a new album every year for the past four years, has backed them up with tours, and has yet to show any signs of slowing down.

And it’s not like she’s not producing hits. One of the songs was the clear ‘anthem’ of this year’s New York City Pride parade; one was one of the hottest dance tracks of the year; and the newest track, well let’s just say it sparkles.

All of the songs made their way to my monthly playlists this year, and are played frequently outside of them.

Songs number 8 on the countdown all belong to Robyn Fenty, or as she’s more popularly known (by her middle name) — Rihanna.
