CJ’s iPhone Playlist – May 2014 (with a special guest DJ)

Finally, human weather has returned to the northern part of the East coast. Let us all say AMEN!!

This month I’m very proud to have collaborated with someone who I have come to adore as not only a friend, but someone who’s love for music runs as deep as mine!

Many of my gay followers know him from his “art film” days, but trust me when I say he is more than just a pretty face and hot body — though his face is pretty…and his body is..well, you get the point. He’s warm, funny, extremely kind and very positive. It is very rare to see him not smiling and even rarer that he has a a bad day. There is no doubt, the world would be a far better place if more of us had his positive attitude…and killer smile.

So, who is this mythical person? His name is Cody Viers or as he is more popularly known, Cody Cachet.

Cody’s love for Madonna and Lady Gaga are well documented in the social media world, but his music tastes run far deeper than those iconic divas. And so, the May 2014 playlist, which is typically filled with dance tracks that lead us into the summer and Pride months, has a totally different sound and feel to it this year — as it has been infused with many of Cody’s likes….which have fast become my likes.

There are numerous newbies this month – both in terms of songs and artists including Strange Talk, Kidnap Kid, Jason Derulo, Lea Michele and super popular Naughty Boy, who’s La La La seems to be in line as the song of the summer.  Some of the new songs to this month include Lily Allen’s Our Time, Lana Del Rey’s, West Coast, Katy Perry’s, Birthday and Calvin Harris’, Thinking About You.

Oldies but goodies this month include a Madonna double dip with True Blue and Vogue, Siouxsie & the Banshees’ – Face to Face, Linkin Park & Jay-Z – Numb / Encore, Dido – Here With Me and because I hate to buck tradition, a mini May dance block featuring Tamia, Chris Lake, Freemasons, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
