It’s almost been a year since Donald Trump announced he was running for President of the United States. In that time, he has sent this country screaming back to a time when even after winning a gold medal at the 1960 Olympic Games, a young boxer named Cassius Clay returned home and was still treated as a second class citizen.
People who support Donald Trump just don’t get it because the majority of them have NEVER had to struggle with being accepted for who they are in this country — an American citizen. And those who have and still support Trump, well there’s just no excuse for them.
Champ…you were my first true hero. You made me and many more like me feel comfortable in my own skin. Thank you for that and rest easy now. We will continue your work.
Our first task in honoring your legacy, will be to ensure that this country never elects a person who doesn’t have a clue what being a human being truly means.
