The irony of Trump bragging about calling FIFA to help a player who, in his version of America, wouldn’t be allowed into the country, is just the latest reminder that he views everything through one lens: himself.

For him, every moment…EVERY MOMENT… is an opportunity for self-promotion, even when it exposes the bull of his own rhetoric.
