Every time Donald Trump or Pete Hegseth uses the word “obliterate” to describe what they’ve done to the Iranian military, I can’t help but think of this classic clip from the late Rob Reiner’s masterpiece, The Princess Bride.
That’s not me making a joke out of the needless war they started without any real strategy—a war that has now cost the lives of 18 U.S. service members.
That’s not me making light of the billions of taxpayer dollars they’ve spent on a war they have yet to explain with any degree of competence or even an ounce of truth.
It’s just me, a taxpaying citizen of the United States, wondering how these two clowns are still able to decide on a whim when to put our brave service members in harm’s way, while they remain safely behind podiums, repeating words like “obliterate” as though saying it often enough makes any of this a success.
